GULF COAST REGION BEACH 

The Gulf Coast Region is very dedicated to our beach events.  We host numerous tournaments from February to November all along the Gulf Coast.  The Gulf Coast Region has been hosting The Junior Beach Series since 2002.  GCR is well known for hosting premiere beach tournaments on one of the best beaches in the world.  Our events are nationally recognized as the one of the best events next to the Olympics.

The Gulf Coast Region is proud to host one of the largest USA Junior Beach Tour events.

What items can I bring to the Beach?
 
  • Shade- Canopy pop-ups will be allowed. Pop-Ups cannot exceed 10 feet by 10 feet in measurement and should be in good working order as to create a pleasant visual impression. Umbrellas & folding beach chairs are encouraged.
  • Portable generators and electricals are not allowed on Gulf Shores Beaches as well as glass, pets, open flame cookers, etc. Amplified listening devices are not allowed.

Where can parents set up to watch their Fall Beach Classic participant?

  • Parents can stage their canopy and umbrellas adjacent to the court their participant is playing on.
  • For the outer courts set up can occur either on the sideline or endline.
  • For the inner courts set-up can occur only on the endlines. There are 37’6” between each endline of courts, 10’ feet back from each endline is playable service area & free space for each court. The middle 17’6” is dedicated as the spectator/family zone for set up of the correct size (10 feet x 10 feet) canopy pop-ups and umbrellas in the middle 10 feet, with a 3’+ pedestrian walk area on either side of spectator/family zone as to not interfere with the court service and free space area.  
  Participant information you need to know
  • Game balls will be furnish – Molten BV-5000 Beach…teams must furnish practice balls 

Dress Code Policy- USAV/ Gulf Coast Region policy applies for actively playing and officiating teams. 

  • Uniforms are not required but are encouraged. All athletes are REQUIRED to wear a top.
  • For girls it must cover your midsection when standing, and bottoms such as spandex, shorts or leggings. No bikinis will be permitted for any team.
  • For boys it must be a tank top or t-shirt that covers the midsection when standing, and bottoms such as board shorts, athletic shorts. No brief type swim trunks.
Tie Break Procedures
 
  • USAV Beach Tie Breaking Rules will be used.
Weather Policy
 
  • Once pool play starts, all efforts will be made to play within the limits afforded by the forecast.  No weather related refunds will be given once pool play begins. 
 
What to Bring
 
  • Practice Ball
  • Beach Chairs & Beach Umbrella/ Canopy tents are allowed (10 ft. x 10 ft. or less)
  • Sunscreen – SPF needs to be high if you are not accustomed to being in direct sunlight
  • Water and/or re-hydration sport drink – Very Important to Stay Hydrated
  • Parking: Gulf Shores West Public Beach- $15 per day

Junior Girls Attire

  • Shorts or spandex
  • Tank top that covers the midriff when arms are at the sides
  • Hats, visors, sunglasses and sand socks are considered optional personal attire.

Junior Boys Attire

  • Shorts and a tank top that covers the midsection
  • Hats, visors, sunglasses and sand socks are considered optional personal attire
